Parson Street Comenius Project Science Fair

We have had a wonderful two years working with our Comenius Partners,
sharing Science Experiments.


We started the day with a whole school assembly to celebrate the work we have with our Comenius Partner Schools.

We hosted the Science Fair after school. It was great fun! Many parents, pupils and their families participated in our investigations that we have done this year!

We ended our fair with the Year 3 Science Club demonstrating some experiments!

Year 3 It's a Bug's life!!

Year 3 investigated how to look after a plant. They then decided to turn their investigations into a set of instructions to link in with our English writing unit. They included the key features of an instructional text i.e. bossy verbs and time openers to organise their writing.

The children went on to looking at life cycles of butterflies as well as looking at specific habitats such as ponds, mud and trees to investigate which animals/mini beasts could be found there.

We will keep you updated with our next topic, good bye for now!

Year 1 Term 5 Experiment - Make it rain!
