Comenius Partner Visit to Bristol 26th February - 6th March 2015

Pupils from our Partner school,
Ocejon in Guadalajara came to
visit us in Bristol. We welcomed our
partners with a special assembly.

We learned some dances to share with each other.
Parson Street children performing a Rap dance

Then our Spanish pupils from Ojecon School performing a traditional dance.

Our Year 5 and the Spanish pupils had great time sharing activities on our Science project about Forces. The task was to work together and build a bridge with paper and Sellotape  to hold a set number of Mars chocolates bars!

We worked in pairs to find out about Forces on the internet and create a power point about them.

We also had some time to learn about the famous Spanish book
character Don Quixote. We made book marks for each other.

We had a great time making friends and practising some Spanish!

Muchas Gracias Amigos. Hasta Luego.

Year 5 visit to @Bristol

Parson Street children joined with pupils from Guadalajara to visit the exciting @Bristol Science Centre.

We spent a full day together and explored all the different areas including stock frame animation, our senses, the human body, water systems and electricity.  We were all given a special workshop on electricity where we created our own circuits to light bulbs, power fans and experiment with how power from our batteries were divided and the result that had on our bulbs and motors.

Many friendships were established during the visit and Parson Street children are now using their Spanish lessons to write letters to their new friends.
