CRYSTALS

SALTY CRYSTALS - OLDER CLASSMATES TEACHING TO LEARN YOUNGER

To all project/experiments we are trying to involve all age groups, some experiments are very simple, because in simplicity is the magic and it isn´t necessary that experiments have to always lead teacher. Among the older kids are very skilful and capable students who can take the role of teacher and show to younger classmates chemical experiment CRYSTALLISING. 8th grade pupil Philip Brousil this role with enthusiasm acquitted.
For the experiment, we used: old glass, salt and water. First, we pour a little water into a glass, then we will add small spoon of salt until the salt stops dissolving. First, about 5 tea spoons, we stir, then about another 5, until the salt dissolved. When the solution oversaturated, more teaspoons of salt has been dissolved in water. Saline let warm until the water has evaporated and remain at the bottom of the crystals.
During experiment Filip fluently changed czech language and english. Basic words and simple sentences was describing what were younger classmates watched. Some of them responded to questions others watched intently.

We also read attractions.


We listened to Philip´s describing.


Everyone wanted to have our own crystals.



There were salty water everywhere :)
