Year 2 Reversible and Irreversible Changes

Year 2 have been exploring which changes are reversible and which are irreversible.
They looked at the properties of solids and liquids then heating up two solids (bread and chocolate) to observe what happens. They recorded their findings and then discussed if the changes could be reversed or not. They concluded that heating chocolate is a reversible change as when they put it in a cool place it turned back into a solid again however toasting the bread was irreversible as it could not go back into its original form.
Year 2 set up this experiment for the whole school Science Fair and asked other children to make their predictions.
