Year 6 experiment with water

In our science week Year 6 were looking at different aspects of water. As you can see from the photos, we tried cleaning water by using sieves, cotton wool and filter paper. We discussed our predictions and observed what happened when the water passed through them.

We also considered the value and importance of water, and looked at how some communities don't have clean water to drink or cook or wash with. One of our aims was to think about how we could use less water, so that we don't waste water that has been cleaned for us.

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts - what do you think we could do to use less?
