Planting our Commenius Tree

We have now planted our Commenius Tree at Parson Street! Children from Class 6 in Year 2 planted the tree with a little bit of help from Miss Keyes.

We discussed what the plant would need for it to grow and decided that the children would take it in turns to water the sapling (we haven't yet needed to because we have had so much rain!).

The children really enjoyed using the tools to plant the tree and we are all excited to watch it grow. We have decided that we will grow some more plants for inside and outside our classroom.
